in the cover photo. I’m sure its an anomaly. But which exactly? I’m sure its not a gentoo linux logo, but it’d be cool if it was.
Cover Photo: From my backyard.
Whatdoyathink? The Aurora from last night, 12 Nov 2025. My backyard. Not quite Cook County, IL. But Close enough to be considered a suburb of Chicago by some. Train service. Metra, not Amtrack, but I do believe we can get Amtrack to pretty much anywhere. I took it to denver back when they first legalized doj. It was wonderful. I met up with an old friend who entertained me. Took a 100mg brownie for the ride home. Like I said, wonderful. Would definitely take a train ride across the country. My only regret is not taking the line out to California. It was the Amtrack switchover/stop that really started my trip. Which I should have done in those earlier years. Less MS, responsibility, and KIDS.
Here’s what WP’s AI assistant told me about my post:
AI Assistant
The content could benefit from some refinement in structure and clarity.
– Organize thoughts into clearer paragraphs for better readability.
– Add descriptive details about the Aurora to enhance the imagery of the experience.
– Consider including a reflective insight or lesson learned from the experience to engage readers more effectively.
– Clarify abbreviations (like MS) for those who might not be familiar with them.
– Check for grammatical consistency, specifically in punctuation and sentence flow.
So yeah, AI assistant, bow me…oh wait, you can’t as you aren’t real. You ALGORYTHYM. I’ll stick with my meandering posts, which are a fine documentation of my decline.
forget about seeing snow
we actually saw the northern lights in northern IL!

(not my house)

one with the exposure cranked up.
Can’t wait for the first major snow fall
It should make for a stunning cover photo. It’s already begun to get cold…bring it on!
Today
It couldn’t
Have happened to a more deserving individual. Enjoy the flames!
